QUALIFY
|
Must complete a TRAIL 100 mile / Plain 100K or equivalent prior
to entry.

Lake Wenatchee Recreation Club (LWRC)
near the Lake Wenatchee State Park. LWRC is the center for all Plain 100 Race
activities pre-race meeting, pre-race dinner, pre-race breakfast. Search and
Rescue Headquarters is the Beaver Valley Lodge
in Plain.

DRIVING TO LAKE WENATCHEE REC CLUB
|
From I-5 take Highway 2 east over Steven's Pass; take Highway
207 north for 4.4 mi; turn RIGHT onto WYE CONN; turn RIGHT onto CHIWAWA LOOP
RD; arrive at 14400 Chiwawa Loop Rd Leavenworth WA 98826.

Bring your drop bags to LWRC Day of Race. Label with name

START
|
5:00 AM at DEEP CREEK, “midpoint” of 100 mile, finish to 100k
and 100 mile. Park along the road 6101 or in DEEP CREEK camp ground just
behind the start area.

From Lake Wenatchee Rec Club - 15 minutes travel time
Turn LEFT on CHIWAWA LOOP RD and travel 4.7 miles to Thousand
Trails
Turn LEFT on LOWER CHIWAWA RIVER RD (just past Thousand Trails
building) and follow 1.6 miles to DEEP CREEK
Turn right into parking area on USFS Rd 6101 or park to the left
Only park on one side of the road to leave room for vehicles

Must reach DEEP CREEK in 22 HOURS (0300); CHIKAMIN TIE in
28 HOURS (0900)

NO AID STATIONS, NO PACERS. WATER FROM STREAMS SO BRING YOUR
FILTER. CREW ACCESS at DEEP CREEK ONLY. NO PICTURE TAKING BY CREW ON
THE COURSE. DROP BAGS AT DEEP CREEK ONLY.

DROPPING OUT
|
Dropping out at other than SAR checkpoints may require the
participant to arrange their own way back to the start/finish line. Much of
the course is back country with little or no access to retrieve dropped
runners.

Beaver Valley Lodge is the SAR headquarters in "downtown" Plain Dry camping is available in the parking lot of the LWRC (STAY
OFF AIRFIELD)

The Cove Resort
at Fish Lake offers camping and cabins
Midway Village
and Grocery offers cabins about a half mile from LWRC
The Squirrel Tree
in Coles Corner on Hwy 2 offers rooms

PARKING
|
YES, Lake Wenatchee Rec Club. The start is about 7 miles from
the LWRC at DEEP CREEK. You may leave your car here and carpool. There isn't
much parking at DEEP CREEK. You may sleep in your car. You may have a
motor home. STAY OFF AIRFIELD. After start of the race, there are no more
activities at LWRC. It will be LOCKED.

SHOWERS
|
There are NO shower facilities at the LWRC. Showers are
available at Beaver Valley Lodge SAR Headquarters. The Cove and Lake
Wenatchee State Park close by also have showers for a small fee (quarters).
